Battle Cat vs Sea Eagle FastCat12
Two drop-stitch catamarans, one from Rover Marine and one from Sea Eagle. They look alike on paper. The differences are size, motor rating, capacity and warranty.
The closest like-for-like match is Sea Eagle's FastCat12 against our 12 ft Battle Cat. Both sets of numbers come from the makers' own pages, checked October 25, 2026, and we flag anywhere a page contradicts itself.

Where Sea Eagle leads
The FastCat12 is lighter on paper (86 lb versus 130 lb) and lists $250 less for the bare hull. If low weight and a low entry price matter most, it is a legitimate choice. Sea Eagle also sells accessory packages in one place, and its three-year warranty covers the whole boat for non-commercial users.

Where Battle Cat leads
Battle Cat 12 ft is rated for 20 hp and four people. The FastCat12 lists 6 hp and two people for a similar load rating. That matters if you carry family or friends, or want a bigger electric or gas outboard. The wider beam (5 ft 6 in versus 4 ft 7 in) is why shoppers consider Battle Cat for standing, fishing and loading gear.
A note on psi. Sea Eagle lists one "10-15 psi" range for the FastCat12. Rover Marine lists 3.5 PSI tubes and a 10 PSI floor separately. Because the numbers are described differently, do not treat a higher psi as proof of a better boat.
Other Sea Eagle boats worth knowing
Sea Eagle's FishTuff14 lists a removable drop-stitch floor to 10 psi, tubes to 3.5 psi and a 10 hp stern rating, from $2,399 for the hull. Its FoldCat and Stealth Stalker lines are lighter, smaller fishing boats, and the SE9 is a 35 lb motor-mount inflatable at a much lower price with a lower-pressure floor. They suit different jobs than a 12 ft catamaran.
Know your water. Battle Boat and Battle Cat are built for lakes, harbors, bays, coastal water and yacht-tender runs, and owners take them on open water too. Match the boat to the conditions, your load and your motor, check the forecast, and carry the safety gear your waters require (life jackets, a way to call for help, oars and a pump).
