Our Story

Yachting Equipment for Boaters.

Rover Marine was built by boaters who wanted a tender with more grit, more style, and more identity. Not another boring dinghy. A real boat brand, designed, ridden, and sold by boaters.

MISSION

To impress you the second you step aboard.

WOW factor is important to us. NO MORE BORING BOATS.

With boating windows in North America changing drastically and quickly due to weather and climate, we designed a boat built to handle all seasons and all conditions.

PURPOSE

We exist to craft exceptional boats for exceptional people.

Making a good boat is not our goal — it’s our obligation.

Using the most modern methods in inflatable boat manufacturing ensures that the Rover Marine you own is a boat you can own with pride.

PROMIS

To enjoy our boats just as much as you do.

We are boaters making boats for boaters, and we love what we do.

It’s exciting — and truly a dream come true — to work on our brand every day of the week, constantly improving and bettering the boating experience we live ourselves.

It Started With a Tender That Did Not Match the Boat.

Since 2012, we have been tastemakers in the watersports industry, running award-winning brands, partnering with retailers big and small, and earning innovation and invention awards across paddleboard, surf, and yachting categories.

But a 2016 boating vacation off the coast of California changed everything. Every day, our family would leave a beautiful boat and step into a small, uninspired inflatable tender. It felt like the one part of the boating experience nobody had bothered to elevate.

02

The Dinghy Industry Was Sitting on Its Hands.

We were disappointed with what the inflatable tender category had become. Too many boats looked the same. Too many felt like an afterthought. The market lacked creativity, color, identity, quality, and real marine attitude.

We wanted to use our hands to build something different.

The Brand

Rover Marine Was Born.

With our background in award-winning watercraft design and McKenna’s boating and yachting experience, we created a boat brand that elevated the entire class.

Rover Marine became a full line of luxury inflatable tenders and dinghies designed to match and elevate the priceless days you spend on the water.

Color is identity.

The Boat Shows

Long Days. Late Nights. One Mission.

Rover Marine has been built face to face with boaters. At shows across North America, people stepped aboard, asked hard questions, compared the details, and said yes.

Design Language

Don’t Think Catalogue. Think Magazine.

Rover Marine is built around status and identity. The look is loud but elegant. Clean and simple, with a touch of chaos. The lines are intentional, the color is unmistakable, and the details are designed to make you stop for one second and look again.

Made Right

Making Good Boats Is Not Our Goal. It Is Our Obligation.

Every Rover Marine boat has to carry the look, but it also has to carry the weight of real use. Dock days, harbor runs, family weekends, offshore exploring, and all the moments in between.

About Rover Marine

A Real Boat Brand, Designed, Ridden, and Sold by Boaters.

Founders

Nick and McKenna Lanfranco

Establish

2016, in Orange County, California.

Build

Triple-layer PVC, heat-welded seams.

Demand

90 Days. Sold Out. Customers Waited.

Bringing all of these elements together into one dynamic craft was a dream come true. The boats carried an elegant look, but they were engineered for rugged real-world use.

Demand came quickly. One season, our annual allocation sold out within 90 days. What shocked us most was that every customer was willing to wait.

The Reward

Families on the Water.

The greatest reward is not seeing our boats in major marine retailers or top dealerships across North America. It is seeing families like mine out on the water making memories together aboard one of our boats.

At Rover Marine, we design products for ourselves first, then share them with others. We stay true to that process.
